The Sherlockian Artwork of Charles Prepolec

Jeremy Brett is my most popular  subject. This image appeared on my Christmas Card for 1998 as well as in a series of limited edition prints.

Peter Cushing and Andre Morell in the Hammer Films version of The Hound of the Baskervilles. The original of this piece now resides in the collection of Jerry Margolin. The image appears on his card for 2000.

A much earlier version of Jeremy Brett as Holmes. Drawing water was a real challenge! This image also appeared as a limited edition print.

Douglas Wilmer as Sherlock Holmes. Based on the BBC episode of The Illustrious Client. Appeared as my Christmas Card for 1999, also as a limited edition print. Print number 1 resides with Mr. Wilmer. This is my favourite piece of my work.

While Roger Moore is certainly not an  ideal Holmes, he does make for an interesting subject. Moore played Holmes in the film Sherlock Holmes in New York. The smoke was the challenge in  this drawing.

What would a collection of Sherlockian artwork be without Basil Rathbone? Incomplete! Rathbone has what must be the most interesting nose to draw! Used for my Christmas card for the year 2000.
